Hope for Maruntei is an outreach branch of Hope Church in Draganesti-OIt in Romania. Maruntei, a village within the outskirts of Draganesti, Romania, contains a population of about 2,000 people with no evangelical church or opportunity to hear the Gospel. Village life may include farmers hauling crops by donkey, elderly women selling potatoes and cabbage along the dirt road, horses grazing alongside fences, stray dogs fighting over garbage and children playing outside – most without shoes. Maruntei is an unreached village that is in need of help, physically and spiritually.
The Vision: Through Hope Church, we are a community dedicated to growing and impacting people with the hope of Christ starting in Maruntei.
The Mission: The mission of Hope for Maruntei, through Hope Church, is to fulfill and positively impact the spiritual and physical needs of the people of Maruntei according to the teaching and practices of Jesus Christ in Mathew 9:35-38.
Our Strategy: In order to fulfuill our mission, we us the 3P’s strategy (People, Partnerships, and Projects)
We recruit, equip and raise up PEOPLE in the ministry, such as missionaries and other workers.
We establish PARTNERSHIPS with churches, organizations, and people everywhere who share our values.
We initiate and develop relevant PROJECTS with the goal of fulfilling the spiritual and physical needs of the people in our community.
Our family has been called to see this vision for Hope for Maruntei come to life and the people of Maruntei come to know Jesus Christ as Savior.
